Changing Lives...

Band! is a school year long inclusive music training project which is designed to teach young people how play the instruments that constitute the basis of a rock band.

The project will take the form of 2 x 1 hour sessions that will take place for 30 weeks in 5 Scottish schools. We will work with young people from Rigside,Carmichael,Wiston, Libberton and Braehead Primary Schools all in rural South Lanarkshire. Limelight will work for three terms, delivering 300 sessions, across the 5 schools. The work has to take place in school time as young people with impairments or from economically inactive families find after school clubs inaccessible and restrictive.

Musicians with impairments will assist or lead in the delivery of the project at all times.
