Many people with learning disabilities, including autism, have limited access to venues and events in Glasgow and are not always able to ‘Stay Up Late’. This may include going out to see bands, clubbing, or seeing friends , witch is part of everyday life, which most people take for granted. However, if you have a learning disability you may need support to do this.
Lots of people with learning disabilities aren’t able to lead full and active social lives because their support workers finish at 10pm, meaning they have to go home early.
‘Stay Up Late’ is a volunteer led campaign to bridge the gap in support services for individuals with impairments, who wish to improve their engagement with the cultural community.
‘Stay Up Late’ is hosting it’s promotional event in Glasgow on Thursday October 5th. Please see full detail below
